Handler was born in a lovely neighborhood and had a pleasant childhood. In her early twenties, Handler relocated in Los Angeles in order to follow her dream of acting. Handler began performing to earn some money. Handler when she was just 21 years old and decided to pursue stand-up comedy as a full-time occupation after discovering her storytelling skills. Handler's professional career started as part of an all-female Oxygen television cast on the show's hidden camera comedy Girls Behaving unreasonably. It was in air from 2002 through 2005. The actress was a part of other shows like Weekends at D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler started her professional career as a reporter on The Tonight Show. Handler's big break came in 2006, as she began hosting her show on E! called The Chelsea Handler show. The show ran for two seasons.
